Spinach Cream Ingredients and Seasonings:
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/4 onion (finely chopped)
- 2-4 cloves of garlic
- Taste for salt
- 1 cup spinach/sticks (blanched)
- 1/4 cup water (mixture)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon black pepper (freshly ground)
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili pepper
- Sugar 1/2 tbsp
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon fresh cream
Steps to make spinach cream
- Wash and blanch spinach/palaki... In a large pot or skillet/wok: Add butter on medium heat.

- Add bay leaves and fry until fragrant. Also add chopped onion and fry till it becomes transparent.

- Add the garlic cloves and fry until fragrant, then add the spinach/paluk and fry for about a minute.

- Allow the cooked bay leaves to cool and remove before blending to a smooth paste/puree.

- Now return the feather puree to the same pan/oak/pot. At this point, add milk.

- Add salt and sugar and mix well... Bring to a boil and add fresh bell pepper and cayenne pepper.

- Now reduce the flame and add the cornmeal so that it thickens a bit, stir quickly and switch off the flame.

- Switch off the oven for about 5-6 minutes and serve hot with Italian crostini or classic bruschetta: healthy, nutritious and filling, whole.
